Zack Devlin Foltz (Morocco)

Economist

Leads project teams with a focus on generating decision-relevant insight, via a variety of tools, for clients in challenging contexts.

Zack is a Manager based at IDinsight’s office in Dakar, Senegal.

He brings more than seven years of experience in leadership and research on multiple continents.

Zack manages a randomized evaluation of a large conditional cash transfer program encouraging infant immunization in northern Nigeria. He has also worked on an IDinsight team developing new tools for decision-relevant analysis.

Prior to IDinsight, Zack was on active duty in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years, serving on ships in the Middle East, on islands in the Pacific, and embedded with local troops in Guatemala. He has lived in various parts of Latin America and the Middle East and speaks English, Spanish, decent French, and OK Egyptian Arabic.

He holds a master’s in Global Affairs from Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, where he focused on quantitative research methods. He has a bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science (Honors) from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
