Ruchika Joshi is Chief of Staff to the CEO at IDinsight, based in New Delhi, India. In her role, Ruchika works directly with the CEO to help steer IDinsight’s strategy, growth and operations spanning its Asia and Africa offices. She also leads select strategic initiatives including a new impact improvement function. Analysing client engagements in 30+ countries, Ruchika helps IDinsight maximise its social impact through data-driven organisational decisions, client and service portfolio development, and strategic partnerships. She is also deeply passionate about improving IDinsight’s work to be more gender inclusive. Previously at IDinsight, Ruchika managed multiple client-facing projects in South Asia to help governments and nonprofits increase their social impact through better data and evidence. She led a learning partnership with BRAC in Bangladesh to improve their community healthcare program, strategy consulting with Azad Foundation in India to increase women’s employment, and a data-science advisory on using artificial intelligence for social good. Ruchika also managed IDinsight’s innovations team, where she led experiments in satellite imagery- and electoral rolls-based sampling methods to make high-quality data collection significantly cheaper and faster. Prior to joining IDinsight, Ruchika worked at the JustJobs Network where she authored a study on the impact of workplace gender diversity on firm performance, as well as led the organisation’s global policy outreach efforts. Ruchika holds a master’s degree in Economics from Ambedkar University, Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
