Rashmi oversees IDinsight’s India office operations and is responsible for recruitment & onboarding, staffing, systems and policies, FM management, event planning and the India Data Hub. Prior to joining IDinsight, Rashmi worked for seven years at MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in the Capacity Building and Research team. At J-PAL, she led training operations in organizing more than 100 major knowledge sharing events, open enrollment courses and custom trainings across the globe for diverse organizations to strengthen and develop their Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and policies. Before embarking on her journey at J-PAL, she worked as a journalist at Hindustan Media Ventures Limited, based out of Patna, Bihar. She also worked part-time at Doordarshan as a youth television anchor and All-India Radio as a voice-over artist and interned with Relative Media. Rashmi holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Patna Women’s College (affiliated with Patna University) and is currently pursuing an online MBA Core Curriculum MicroMaster from Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Rashmi speaks English, Hindi and Bhojpuri.
