Felipe Acero Garay (Morocco)

Supervises the implementation of M&E systems, and process evaluations aiming at improving programs operations, and impact.

Felipe Acero is a Manager at IDinsight, based in Dakar, Senegal. Felipe supervises the design and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system for a preschool education program in Morocco. Previously at IDinsight, Felipe has supported a two-year study to identify preferences of potential aid recipients to inform giving in rural Ghana and Kenya.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Felipe worked at Dalberg as an Associate Consultant, where he was engaged in projects related to economic development strategy design, smallholder farmers’ income enhancement, and public-private partnerships analysis with organization such as USAID, the Better than Cash Alliance, and OXFAM. Felipe was also an ODI Fellow at the Lesotho National Development Corporation, leading the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system for a financial program supporting local SMEs. Similarly, Felipe has worked in areas of rural and agriculture development at the Food and Agriculture Organization to the United Nations, supporting a research project examining decent work and social protection conditions of smallholder farmers in Ethiopia.

Felipe holds M.A. in Public Policy and Development and a B.A. in Economics and Administration from the Toulouse School of Economics, and a B.A. in Economics, Sum Cum Laude, from the University of Rosario.
