Dimple Kukreja is an Economist at IDinsight based in New Delhi, India. She provides technical expertise on design and implementation of IDinsight research projects. Prior to joining IDinsight, Dimple worked at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a Research Officer (Direct PhD Recruit). At RBI, she worked primarily on their flagship public works program in India – the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) and analysed banking sector vulnerability. She completed her PhD from Toulouse School of Economics where her dissertation focused on gender, households and social norms. She has worked extensively on social safety net programs in India as a research associate at IIT- Delhi where she also collaborated briefly with the Government of Rajasthan. She has taught economics to undergraduate students at Shri Ram College of Commerce as an Assistant Professor for approximately two years and has also worked at TERI.
