Manages IDinsight’s learning partnership with Mission Karmayogi - the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB).

Anshu Singh is a Manager at IDinsight, based in New Delhi, India.

In her current role, Anshu manages IDinsight’s learning partnership with Mission Karmayogi – the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), launched in 2020 with the objective of enhancing governance through civil service capacity building in India.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Anshu worked with Harvard’s Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) where she managed the capacity building portfolio in India. This involved conducting needs assessments and pedagogically sound trainings with policymakers at the national, state or district level; and thinking about what conditions are necessary, in addition to skills, to facilitate effective evidence use within government departments. Previously, Anshu has worked with Chemonics International in their Democracy and Governance Practice in Washington DC, and was a consultant for Water.org’s Cambodia office. Anshu has also worked with Access Development Services in New Delhi, where she assisted in their policy advocacy efforts within the financial inclusion portfolio.

Anshu holds a master’s degree in International Development and Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University. Anshu attended SAIS on a scholarship from the Andreas Baum fellowship for exceptional international MA students. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics (with Honors) from Clark University and a general course diploma in Economics from The London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE).
