Akash Pattanayak is a Manager at IDinsight, based in New Delhi, India. Akash oversees the “Data on Demand” infrastructure across 8 states in India which facilitates periodic primary data collection at a faster pace and at significantly lower-cost. The infrastructure has been leveraged for three rounds of multi-sector data collection in 27 Aspirational Districts along with other sector specific surveys in Health, Agriculture and Financial Inclusion. Previously, Akash worked on the State of Aadhaar Project for two years where he led the data collection activities across three states and co-authored the 2017-18 State of Aadhaar Report. Prior to joining IDinsight, Akash gained field experience in energy access and microfinance programs in Bihar. Akash holds a bachelor’s in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He is fluent in Hindi and English.
