Vishan Pattnaik (India)

Manages two projects in India with a passion for combining grassroots experience with technical skills.

Vishan Pattnaik is a Manager at IDinsight, based in Delhi, India. He brings three and a half years of combined experience in the non-profit and private sectors in India.

Vishan manages two projects at IDinsight. The first focuses on building capacity to use data with Indian government officials at various levels. As part of this project, he has led the team in creating training materials and conducting two training sessions at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration, the premier institute for training civil servants in India.

The second project Vishan works on is with the Delhi Government Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This project aims at helping the government gather feedback from patients and address grievances arising at Mohalla clinics, the Primary Health Care centers in Delhi.

Prior to joining IDinsight, Vishan worked as a Project Coordinator with Bakul Foundation, a small non-profit in India. As a Gandhi Fellow, he also worked towards empowering headmasters of rural Indian government schools to improve the quality of education in their schools.

Vishan has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Odia.
